Woodley Library will be a winter wonderland on Sunday December 3, with free family events as part of the Woodley Winter Extravaganza.

Woodley Winter Extravaganza will be taking place in Woodley shopping centre from 11am on Sunday December 3. The library will be open as usual – 1pm to 4pm – on the Sunday of the Extravaganza and will be joining in the festive spirit with two special family events.

A festive-themed family storytime will be running from 2pm to 2:45pm in the children’s area of the library. Parents and children of all ages are welcome to come along and hear some winter stories. The storytime also includes a craft activity for everyone to join in and make glittery star-shaped decorations!

Following this, at 2:45pm, a string quartet from Reading Symphony Orchestra will be playing an hour-long concert, including festive songs. And no one will be going hungry, as the library will be serving mince pies and biscuits, in return for a small donation to the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust.
