On November 28 at 2pm there will be a special delivery of 230 free dustbins to Gorse Ride South as part of plan to help stop domestic refuse being strewn around the area.

Wokingham District Council Tenant Services is giving the bins free to council tenants in Gorse Ride and The Courts in Winnersh. A problem has developed partly because rubbish is put out early for collection, but also because animals tend to rummage, then drag out food fragments and packaging.

Each council property will receive one bin free of charge in an effort to reduce the problem.

Members of The Gorse Ride Neighbourhood Action Group will be on site with Wokingham District Council tenant services to take delivery of the bins from Wickes in Bracknell, who have kindly agreed to provide them at a discounted rate and make the delivery free of charge.
