Why Not Come Along To A Wokingham Fathers' Workshop?

“Fatherhood can be one of the biggest challenges faced in a man’s life. Whilst it generally brings immense joy and satisfaction, there are a whole range of other emotions involved, some quite complex.” explains Bianca Morrison, parenting co-ordinator, Wokingham effective parenting partnership.

This workshop, organised by the Wokingham effective parenting partnership, which is a partnership between statutory and voluntary agencies in the Wokingham district, offers dads an opportunity to meet with other men and talk about what it means to be a father. The topics covered include:

* the role of fathers

* the pressures men face as dads

* discipline

* building emotional security for the family.

Wokingham Attendees will have the opportunity to share their experiences and wisdom as a parent, as well as picking up some practical ideas that can be applied to their own family situation.

To book a place on this workshop, contact Bianca Morrison, parenting project co-ordinator or Jane Fletcher, parenting project assistant on (0118) 944 5340 or email parenting.project@wokingham.gov.uk The cost is £5 per parent (free to all on income support).
