Summer Fair,
Westende Junior School,

The Summer Fair will be held on Saturday 9th July from 11.30 am to 2.00 pm at Westende Junior School, Seaford Road, Wokingham.

There will be the usual range of stalls, eg, a bottle tombola, books, toys, videos, CDs, and lots of games such as Bat the Rat and an Elephants' Race (not real ones I hasten to add!).  

There will be dancing displays from the Y3 children at 12.00 and from the Wescott children at 1.00 pm.

We have some fantastic prizes in the Grand Draw including £100 worth of Marks and Spencer vouchers and a Panasonic DVD player.

3rd July 2005, 10.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. or 1.00 – 3.00 p.m.

Explore the art in machines!

Create a machine sculpture, a collage, a machine print, a tool rubbing or even design and build your own nuts and bolts mobile.

The ‘Art in Machines’ Workshop is the third MINTI Club Sunday Workshop this year. Every child attending a MINTI Club workshop gets a MINTI Club Reward Card. We’ll stamp your Reward Card at each workshop: collect 3 stamps for a MINTI Club certificate, collect 6 stamps and you’ve won a reward!

Places are limited and booking is essential. Admission to Workshop: child £6, adults free (all children must be accompanied by an adult, younger children will need parental assistance with the activities). Activities suitable for 5 – 12 year olds. The REME Museum of Technology is running ‘Art in Machines’ as part of the National Children’s Art Day initiative from the Clore Duffield Foundation to promote art for and by children.
