If you are between the ages of 8 and 14 then the Junior Canoe Club (JCC) is right for you!
Not only is it an ideal place for you to meet others and to try some really exciting activities both locally and away but it is also a brilliant excuse to escape for a while, to chill out and chat to friends. On a typical evening there will be a planned activity with time to socialise and talk to your friends.
The JCC will meet on a Wednesday night at Wokingham Canoe Club on the River Thames, from April to July, for some serious fun on and around the water. Each week there is a different plan for what to do; some weeks, you can learn new skills and other weeks you can test your new skills in a different type of boat, maybe a racing kayak or a 2-man kayak or an Open Canoe if it takes your fancy. All these boats and equipment are provided by the Club, you just need to bring along yourself!

The Facts
13 Weeks in Duration: 13th April to 13th July 2005.
Wednesday Evening: 18:30 to 19:30.

The Cost
£15 one-off plus £2 per session or £25 one-off payment. (Once you get to £25 you are a fully paid up Junior Member of the canoe club for the rest of the year!)
The Club is based on the River Thames, Wokingham Waterside Centre, Thames Valley Business Park (the Reading end of the A329M).

Open Days @ Wokingham Canoe Club
If you have ever fancied trying out an Open Canoe, or want to understand what it is like in a Playboat - or steam down the river (admittedly under your own power!) in a racing kayak - then come down and try the sport on one of our open days.

REME Museum of Technology ~ Easter Egg Hunt

Tuesday 29 March - Sunday 10 April 2005

Join the REME Museum of Technology’s Easter Egg Hunt! Spot all the eggs the Easter Bunny has hidden in the displays and vehicles. Complete the quiz sheet and enter the prize draw to win the BIG Easter Egg! All children will receive a prize for completing the quiz sheet.

The Easter Egg Hunt runs for the Easter period during Museum opening hours (Mon - Thurs 09.00 - 16.30, Fri 09.00 - 16.00 and Sun 11.00 - 16.00). The Museum will be closed over the Easter weekend (Friday 25 March - Monday 28 March).

Easter Egg Hunt Quiz Sheets cost 30p. Normal admission charges apply: Adult £3.50, Child £2.50, Family £10 (2 adults and up to 3 children) and under 5s free. Suitable for children aged 5 – 12 years. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
