8th February “Dinton Pastures” by Dave Webster (Dinton Pastures is the local wildlife park run by Wokingham District Council. Dave is a Ranger at the park, he will talk on the many forms of wildlife to be found there)

8h March “Pulling Power of Plants” by Louise Allen (Oxford Botanical Gardens)
(Louise is a curator of the Gardens and will talk about the wide variety of flowers & plants at Oxford and their uses for research)

12th April “Water Gardens” by Duncan Grosart (Duncan will discuss how to create a water feature in your garden and how to maintain it)

** 12th September Inter Society Quiz Quiz between Wokingham gardening clubs

11th October “The Garden in Autumn & Winter” by Jane Sterndale-Bennett. Jane has a beautiful garden, she specialises in perennial plants and will be suggesting plants which will look good in the Autumn and Winter.

8th November “Flower Arranging for Autumn & Winter” by Janet Slinger Janet is
an experienced flower arranger and will show ways of exhibiting flowers and plants to
best advantage for this time of year

13h December Christmas Social

‘Bright Sparks’ Family Half-term Activity Days
16 – 18th February 2005

 

Are you a Bright Spark? If you think you are - prove it! Come to our ‘Bright Sparks’ activities and make White Light! Drop Parachutes! Build a castle! Design a Bridge! Test your brain at our IQ and Puzzle Corner.

Running from Wednesday 16th to Friday 18th February 2005 between 11.00 a.m. and 3.30 p.m.

The Mini Assault course will be running again with a new SIR!, and for the very brave there is the BIG BUG Hunt!

Other activities include: Built IT, Noughts & Crosses, Drop Zone, Belt Drives, Odd One Out, Marble Egg Race, Making Jigsaws, Field Telephones and many others.

* Cost: Adult £3.50, Child £4.50, Family £14 (2 adults and up to 3 children), Under 5s free.
* Suitable for children aged 5 – 12 years.
* All children must be accompanied by an adult.
* Clothing and footwear suitable for playing outdoors and on wet assault course!
